Carrots are interesting fruits especially for the elderly people, Carrot (Daucus carota) is a root vegetable, usually orange in colour, though purple, black, red, white, and yellow cultivars exist. Carrots are a domesticated form of the wild carrot, Daucus carota, native to Europe and southwestern Asia but very much eaten in Africa.
Carrots helps supplies the body with potassium which helps keeps body blood pressure in shape, it also helps build immune system
Eat raw – washed, peeled, washed again and chomped on. Want some dipping sauces? Combine plain natural yogurt with curry powder and cilantro leaves, to taste.
Soup - Carrots sweet, earthy taste is perhaps best featured in soup. We love this spicy sweet potato and carrot soup (so much orange) and this Indian spiced carrot soup with ginger.
