Historically, nations and societies had been faced with a common dilemma of drug abuse. One worthy of remembering is the opium war in China which has as a consequence succeeded in destabilizing the youth in the country by making them weak, lazy and unproductive to the state, particularly towards its economic development.

Drugs are chemical substances that are used to treat illness, relieve.pains or modify a chemical process in the body for a specific purpose.
Illegal drugs are also drugs consume to change how your mind and body works. It is a substance especially one which is illegal, ingested for recreational use.
Drug abuse therefore, is the use of chemical substances (drugs) without prescription from any medical doctor for the purpose of changing the natural function of the mind or body. Women are known to be the mothers, but should they maintain this or prefer been hospitalized in the psychiatric? All in the name of civilization so to say, which makes me wonder if the meaning of civilization has been changed in the cause of time. However, some use it as a means and source of happiness, confidence, energy among others as they see it.

This act of drug abuse among women is more pronounced among university and college girls,  who seems to overtake men in this barbaric act, which is really a worrisome issue. Research have shown that students make up one of the largest groups of drug abusers nationwide, mostly young people between the ages of 18-24 are already at a risk of addiction.
The cultivation, use and trade of psychoactive and drugs has occur since ancient times. Currently authorities have often restricted drug possession and trade for a variety of political and religious reasons because they are considered illegal. The Illegal drugs have limitations on their ownership or use.

The Psycho phamaceutical or psychotopic is a chemical substance that changes the brain function and results in alterations and perception, mood and consciousness.

The cough syrup is normally used to treat motion sickness and nausea. It is often mistakenly assumed that people who abuse drugs lack moral principles and that they could stop using drugs simply by choosing to change their behaviour. In reality, drug addiction is a complex disease, and it is very difficult to quit, because drugs change the brain in ways that foster compulsive drug abuse, quitting tends to be difficult even for ones who are ready to do so for this reason, many young ladies have been a victim and end up in the psychiatric.

Drug abuse and addiction have bad consequencies on youth and society, especially young girls. The manner, attitude, lifestyles of a woman differs entirely from that of a man. Women in every society are expected to be calm, peaceful, quite than the men, but when a lady gets into the habits of drug abuse and addiction, she tends to lose all those qualities and become tough, untidy and always confused. This physically takes away her natural personality of been quite, calm and peaceful which makes her to behave like men. Women are known for good habits and as upcoming mothers, they should not contribute to dissention, discord or division among community, a woman is seen as a vessel of mediation and peace.

Several factors are responsible for pushing young ladies into drug abuse and addiction. Some go into intoxication because of pressure from peer group which is very common in universities and colleges, a lady may give in to drug abuse in order to feel among certain groups of people or because of the fear of isolation. Some are influenced by their friends under pressure to have something or get over a bad situation. For example a friend may persuade someone to take drugs saying that it will relief you from anger, pressure or
